Bees are more than just honey-makers; they are the backbone of our ecosystem, tirelessly working to pollinate the plants that sustain our food chain. But with habitat loss, climate change, and pesticide use threatening their survival, it’s time for us to step up and support these tiny heroes. That’s where our Bees Community Projects come in!
Why Bees Matter
Did you know that bees contribute to pollinating around 75% of the most nutritious crops we eat? Without them, our food sources, from fruits and vegetables to nuts and seeds, would dwindle. But it’s not just about food—bees and other pollinators help maintain biodiversity by ensuring wildflowers and plants flourish, supporting birds, butterflies, and countless other species in the process.
What We Do
Our community-driven initiative is dedicated to creating and maintaining safe habitats for bees across Gloucestershire. From planting wildflower meadows to installing beehives in community spaces, we are committed to ensuring our pollinators have the resources they need to thrive. But we’re not just about bees—our efforts support a wide range of insects and pollinators, helping to restore the delicate balance of nature.
